Meet Dr Adrian Chong (Chiropractor)

Like a lot of kids, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do after high school.

I can remember the career guidance councellor telling the class to pick something that made you happy. I didn’t really understand what he meant at the time. It took me a few years to decide to be a chiropractor. I thought at the time that it would be great because you get to meet new people, help them with their backs and be your own boss. I’ve since found to my great pleasure that it has been these things and so much more!

Becoming a Chiropractor

Becoming a chiropractor takes five years of intensive study. I went to Macquarie University to get my B.Sc. and Masters degrees. Subjects like biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, radiology, histology and pathology were all part of the course.

I’ve learned lessons from my patients too. From their mistakes. From their aspirations. From their regrets. From their joy. I sometimes wonder how their lives would be different if it wasn’t for chiropractic.

Achieving Optimal Health

I worked in the UK for two years. It was a part of my “no regrets” mindset to see more of the world. It was amazing to find that even on the other side of the world, people faced the same health issues.

For me, chiropractic is about striving to be the best version of yourself that you can be. It’s a philosophy that sits really well with me. An optimally functioning spine and nervous system is as much a necessity to long term health as is good nutrition or exercise. The choices you make today determine your state of health in the future. Achieving optimal health is a conscious decision you make for yourself and your family every day.

The Most Rewarding Part of What I do is…

The most rewarding part of what I do is changing the direction of someone’s life for the better and opening possibilities that they had long given up on.

Having your health allows you to do all the things that are most important to you. For me it’s being able to spend time with family and friends. Sharing those moments you can look back on years later and laughing about it.

Away from Ku-Ring-Gai Family Chiropractic

Some people ask me what I do to stay healthy. I have my spine checked every week to keep things at their best. I incorporate fresh fruit and vegetables with every meal and keep my wheat and dairy intake to a minimum (you’ll have to come to one of my workshops to find out why!). I do some form of exercise every day. Keeping it interesting is important. Surprisingly, walking thirty minutes a day can decrease the risk of many chronic illnesses by 50-70%.

That’s probably more than enough about me! Thanks for visiting our site. I hope you’ve enjoyed finding out a little bit about me and our practice. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call, or email me using the link below and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.
